Covington Recreational Parks
The City of Covington has over 135 acres of developed and undeveloped parks and open space areas. Over the last five years The City of Covington has been recognized by the National Arbor Day Foundation and the Washington State Forester’s office by being selected as Tree City USA recipient. Inside Timberlane Estates Jenkin’s Creek Park can be found. This gorgeous park offers 23 acres of hiking trails and natural areas. Below you can find a list of parks located in Covington, WA:

The first City skate court opened in 2004. It features a 70 foot by 100 foot skating area with Huna ramps and web camera which allows visitors of the City web site the ability to view the park. There is no parking available.
180th/240th STREET PARK

The 180th/240th Street Park is found on the southwest corner of 180th and 240th streets. 10 of the acres were acquired in 2002 and the other 20 acres were acquired in 2003. The park consists of rolling pastures that feature mature forests and trails. A master plan for development of the park was drawn out in 2003 and when funding is available construction will begin.
CEDER CREEK PARK

With the help of Conservation Futures Grant, Cedar Creek Park was obtained by the city of Covington in 2003. It consists of 30 acres of high quality wetlands, creeks, trails, and diverse habitat areas. King County own the additional 80 acres of Cedar Creek Park.
CEDER VALLEY PARK

Cedar Valley Park was obtained in 2002. It contains 6.75 acres of natural area.
CRYSTAL VIEW PARK

The 2.2 acre parcel was acquired in 2000 and built in 2003. It was Covington’s first park. It features a half basketball court, play equipment and picnic tables.
COVINGTON AQUATIC CENTER

The aquatic center was acquired from King County in 2004. The facility contains a 25-meter indoor pool with water slide and room available for rentals. For scheduling and information call: (425) 413-POOL.
EVERGREEN PARK

Evergreen Park was obtained for King County in 2000. When completed, the park will feature a play are for pre-school aged children, natural area, and walking paths.
FRIENDSHIP PARK

Friendship Park opened in 2004. The park is a converted storm water pond. The .6 acre park features a basketball court, picnic area, play equipment, walking path and grassy area for informal play.
JENKINS CREEK PARK

Jenkins Creek Park was obtained from King County in 2003. The 23 acre park features: walking trails and natural areas.
JENKINS CREEK TRAIL

The first segment of the Jenkins Creek Regional Trail was completed in 2002. It is located north of SE 262nd and East of 180th. When completed Jenkins Creek Trail will connect the Soos Creek Trail to the Lake Wilderness Trail.
SOOS CREEK PARK AND TRAIL

King County operates the regional trail system through the park. The 183 acre park acts as an urban separator between Kent and Covington providing critical habitat areas.
THE RESERVE

The Reserve is a regional storm water facility. It has a maintenance access road surrounding the pond that also serves as a half-mile loop walking trail. There are benches, picnic tables, and play equipment along the trail.
